The Trust has been at the forefront of recognising youth since 2010 with the establishment of a Study Fund at Victoria University of Wellington, awarding two monetary prizes and a scholarship for postgraduate research into the role of Parliament in the policy process and the wider community. This was extended in 2013 with the establishment of a scholarship at the University of Canterbury.

In 2015 the Trust established a Travel Assistance Programme for School Visits to Parliament. Providing  assistance to bring students to Parliament to learn about how Parliament works is appropriate to the Trust’s status as an educational charity.
