Joanne Mahon is Chief Communications & Brand Officer for the Southern Cross group of health and wellbeing businesses. In prior roles during her 20-year career in journalism, corporate communications and brand, Joanne has worked in the financial services, FMCG and healthcare sectors in New Zealand and the UK.
Joanne has been a Trustee of YES Disability Resource Centre since 2020, a not-for-profit organisation working to ensure young people with disabilities and learning differences are represented equitably in governance, planning and employment.
Joanne is a graduate of Auckland University of technology and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK).
